The Captain America uniform pants finally arrived, so here’s my bashed together Agent Coulson engaging in a little cosplay.

(I’ve got a lot to learn about getting the figures into natural-looking poses… )

When Fury told Phil Coulson of his plan to recruit the freshly-defrosted Steve Rogers to the Avengers Initiative, Coulson immediately volunteered to supervise the re-engineering of the Captain’s uniform. Coulson loved the classic red-white-and-blue design that he knew so well from his extensive collection of Captain America memorabilia,so they kept that, but in modern high-performance materials. Even a traditionalist like Phil Coulson couldn’t argue against improvements like ballistic cloth and ceramic armor plating.

Phil was happy with the final design - so happy, in fact, that when he signed off on the redesigned uniform and sent it off for fabrication, he had an extra one run off in his own size… for “personal use”.

*I still haven’t got my complete Hot Toys Agent Phil Coulson figure - Sideshow said they’d be shipping sometime around June 20th - but I’ve managed to get enough parts and costume bits together (including the amazing headsculpt!) to put this together… the figure doesn’t have pants yet, but I just couldn’t wait!*

I got an extra headsculpt for the Hot Toys Agent Coulson figure, with the idea of kitbashing a custom fig at some point. It’s a pretty damn good likeness of Clark Gregg, though I wish they’d given him a less-grim expression. I’ve gotta say, getting body parts in the mail is a bit disturbing, even at sixth scale :’)

Still waiting for the two-week heads-up from Sideshow on my complete Coulson figure, but it’s supposed to ship this month… Can’t wait!
